  1. Having a problems with sonicstage 3.3 Every time I try to transfer/convert to atrac3plus any mp3's that I have on my library, it just skips the files through and then says "Transfers are not allowed." and lists the files I tried to transfer. Does not matter if I try to transfer to my MD (MZ-NH700) or PSP. Nor does it matter what format (CBR or VBR) mp3's I try to transfer. If I convert from original CD to atrac3plus then the transfer works nicely. edit: And converting from WAV files works too. I had sonicstage 3.2 previously installed, and it worked fine the last time I used it (about 6 months ago) Tried uninstalling all traces of sonicstage & all databases + registry. Removed ffdshow completely to be sure, although I had it working nicely with SS 3.2. (by removing mp3 handling from it) windows XP pro SP2 with all updates. Any ideas would be welcome
  2. Yeah, I was thinking about that too & planning to do some testing, but first had to transfer a few albums, now that it is possible
  3. I had a really really annoying problem where SonicStage ( versions 2.0 - 2.3) kept freezing / hanging during mp3 conversion to atrac. It kept happening at random, so I didnt have a clue at first what the problem might have been. And searching through this forum & others didnt help at all, everywhere the threads stopped at either sending the MD unit for repairs or with a link to MS support Article ID : 887811 But I had had it working perfectly for a while, few weeks back until I had to do a format and reinstall of windows. So with "simple" looking what was new in this setup I found that ffdshow was the culprit. Now I have uninstalled it and everything works smooth again!! I had to post this tale here so that others can learn from it. (Might even want to add this to some kind of FAQ) Hope this helps somebody.
