    Dead Battery?

Thanks guys! No problem to get new batteries ... I just wanted to ask if it was normal. BTW some of you reccomended an Ni-MH AA in the 2000 -2100 mAh variety ... as I looked at the original Sony battery inside I discovered it's a 700 mAh ... what does it means? Thanks again!

    Dead Battery?

I left my Sony MZ-NH700 in its bag for three months without using it and with its rechargeable battery in. Now I try to charge the battery and after hours of charging it is still death. What's going on? Help this dummy boy!!
  3. Thanks Mr Sim! My first mistake: I had Mic Sens High selected!!! Any other suggestion is welcome!!
  4. Oh my God, don't tell me this! I guess that lowering the rec level is safe enough! Hope I don't kill the unit just to record a stupid bass line of mines!
  5. Today I plug my bass straight into my MD (Sony MZ-NH700) and I like the result except for: 1- A lot of buzz when I turn the potenziometers (e.g. when cut the volume at the end of the recording or when soloing a pick-up) 2- It records only on the right channel. I see you laughin' but ... help this dummy MD newbie!
  6. So I can plug my bass straight into my MZ-NH700 ... fantastic! Just hope it (the MiniDisc) doesn't explode!! I'll try it ASAP ... first I think I have to buy some "1/4 plug jack-to-mini stereo plug" device (?) (well, I don't know how to say it ... I'm italian). As far as the pick-up juice I think (hope) that using the bass in passive mode will work. Other suggestions? You're cool, guys!
  7. Thanks guys, I appreciate your replies. P.S. Mr Sim, excuse me ... I'm such a newbie but ...you mean one can plug an instrument (my bass for example) straight into the MD unit and record it?!!!
  8. Hi guys, first time on this community ... I'm new at MiniDisc pleasures so I think I'll enjoy it! I'm sure a lot of you can help me with this problem. I got an horrible hum noise when recording my band rehearsal with the Minidisc using the AC adapter. I've read in the manual that is possible to experience this noise if one touch the cable when recording but no one touches anything and even the cables (mic and AC adapter) are separate. On the other side, when using just the power of the battery everything is quiet and wonderful sounding! The MiniDisc is a Sony MZ-RH700 and the mic is a Sound Professional BMC-2 mini binaural. Thanks for the help!
