  1. Are you sure the files are converted? This was the problem I used to have. The program reported they had been converted successfuly, but in the media drive, they still looked like MP3s. Check that point. Enjoy
  2. Why should I upgrade to 2.3? For me, if it´s not bronken, why fix it? My 1.5 works, and just a while back I transferred a full MD with no problems. But well, maybe there is something I don´t know? Thanx anyway.
  3. I GOT IT!!! The problem was really an inter-codec-missunderstanding, to give it a name. Following part of the instructions from Kurisu, I removed the folders and registry entries, but did not install SP2... but just because I got errors... Anyway, the real results came after this. I went to download.com and searched for atrac3. There were two results: One program that claims to be able to convert (but it´s not true) and a codec pack. Sorry, Kurisu, but this codec pack worked my miracle. I reinstalled SS 1.5 (bundled with my MD) and it converted perfectly at the first attempt. I have not tried MP3, DIVX or DVDs, but for that, I have my plasma screen... Anyway, I hope this will help someone with the same issues I had. Enjoy.
  4. I´ve got a very similar problem. SS 1.5 used to work fine under W98, but now I moved to XP Pro and reinstalled SS. Every time I try to transfer a file I get an error when converting, and of course, cannot transfer. If I try to convert before the Check out process, the whole task finishes in a blink, and it reports the conversion was successful (although the files still are identified as MP3). I´ve read in some other forums this might have something to do with codecs, but... Unless I find a way to transfer, my MD is USELESS. Please help!
