I'm just like you, done a few reinstalls of XP and the same problem. Have to now transfer my audio to my other PC, then in to a working SS.....on to my MD......

Tried it on another PC and it worked fine, which is strange as both PC's was installed and set up the same. I personally think it might be graphics card driver related.

I've got the same problem and I've reinstalled over 5 times now.
