When I copied my CD's over to a friends PC whilst in accomodation a few years ago it never dawned on me that my music would be locked up forerver on the MD format. I dont have the original CDs anymore but when I tried to check out the files from the MD on to the hardisc it refused. Surely I am allowed to backup my music though? I cannot even play it through SS2.3, it has to play through the players speakers. I thought I had one copy that I could move about freely. Again on a different MD it allows me to move it back to the ORIGINAL machine only! Aaargh I know the anwer is going to be: record it in analogue. I just wanted to rant at why MP3 players are such a wonderfully hassle free experience. Cheers mark

I got hold of the cheapest Himd I could find on ebay with a need to record some reason tracks amonst other things (I was a MD user for many years). I got an NH600 in the end (without the mic in port) and I occasionally need to narrate some stuff and was wondering if there are microphones available that plug into line-in port and arre fairly small in size. Thanks
