Hi everyone, I'm a musician and a filmmaker who is interested in sound recording/sampling. I use a Mac computer. Is there no point in me getting a minidisc recorder because I would have trouble getting files onto my computer? The HiMD sounds interesting for its uncompressed audio and the small size. I'm also considering the new Marantz pmd660 which records to compact flash, but is significantly more expensive and bigger. What is the sound quality of HiMD recordings with a good mic? Well, I'm most worried about the computer compatibility question-- why did sony only make it work for PCs?
