Hello, I'm new to the Hi-MD format/software from Sony and I have some trouble with playing and converting (to wave) oma-files that have been uploaded to a server and then downloaded again. The thing is that I'm using a Hi-MD-recorder in a project work to make microphone recordings, and I have to upload the recorded files first to my computer with sonicstage (2.3) and then again transfer them to a central server so that the files can be accessed for other users. The problem when downloading them again, is that something with the rights information seems to be "gone". When trying to play the file in SonicStage, it won't, and SS asks me to connect to the internet to get license information. So I guess the rights information for the oma-tracks are stored on some other location than the sound files on my computer (or something) to deny the files from being accessed from other locations? Is it possible to somehow join this rights information with the soundfiles again on my computer so that I can convert them to another format before transferring them to the server? How should I deal with this in the future..? Thanks for any help!
