It seems that the optical block of your unit has worn out. You will likely need to replace it. Try your local Sony Service Center or an authorized electronic repair center.

I've owned a Sony MZ-R70 for 4 years..suddenly it does not play..one can read "NO DISC"..what shall I do?..the manual does not help.I do know how MD work .Thanks from Denmark
