To follow up, I've updated windows to find there are no updates for me to download. I've downloaded and tried to install MDAC, but an error message has told me that it's already part of Windows.

I'm running Windows XP Home edition, recently downloaded SP2, Installed Sonic Stage 3.0, I have a pentium 2.6ghz with a 533 fsb, 1.0 gb of ram, and I'm not sure about the codecs installed I'm reseaching that but I have to get to work so I'm going to have to do that when I get back.

Hello, I'm new to the boards, but I've been having a problem with Sonic Stage since I bought my Mini Disc player. I have a MZ-NH600D, and since the day I bought it I haven't been able to use Sonic Stage at all. Since the first time I installed the software, I get a dialogue box that pops up telling me I have to restart the program after it updates the database. As soon as I hit the ok button the program immediately closes. I've tried working through Sony's customer support and they have been less than helpful with my problem, I have since gone through multiple downloads and updates of the software and to no avail. Today I downloaded the Sonic Stage 3.0 and I keep getting the same result with every option I try. I'm at my wits end looking for some other software that I can use to transfer music to my mini disc player, and nothing I download works. Is there anything I can do? Thanks for any help in advance.
