Compressed Codecs to MD seem to Code AGAIN therefore even lossier
sebastianbf replied to 1kyle's topic in Minidisc
What do you mean with: "the highs are restored"? MP3 is a lossy format, so if you convert a wav file to mp3 you can't recover some quality converting it to wav again or to any other superior format (than mp3). The mp3 convertion process doesn't "zip" the file, it modifies it so you lose quality with the convertion. -
Is It Possible To Recover Lost Audio On HiMD?
sebastianbf replied to dex Otaku's topic in Essential Hi-MD info/FAQ's.
Anyone is gonna try and send a disc to minidiskrecovery? -
why a rh10 now? what happened to the rh910? (you lucky boy!)
-
it's because the B100 is a bussines recording minidisc. It has the incorporated microphone and the mono speaker. Also it has the auto start recording function (that start recording automaticaly when you speak, like old micro cassette recorders) and remember that it was introduced in 2001. It all depends on how you are gonna use it. If you want to record voices, conferences, meetings, etc.. you should keep the B100. If your planning to record music, gigs, and hear the music on-the-go I would recommend you a smaller unit.

I just love the ability of the hi-sp recordings of being transfered back to any computer now with the new version of SS. About the SP old codec, I was very pleased when I first hear it. The warmth of the sound and the exceptional quality of the recordings had always imporessed me. I think that sound quality (and gapless recordings) is what makes me still love this format.

I think that if they're gonna make netmd upload possible, changes have to be made in SS and not in the portables.

Weak point RH10 Battery Opener switch breaks easily
sebastianbf replied to 1kyle's topic in Minidisc
I remeber having the same problem with my mzr70. After a while I had to put some duct tape to the battery door. On the other hand I remember my mzr900 battery door. Both parts of it were made of metal, never had a problem with it. -
Ishi what's the difference in price between a unit buyed in U.S and a unit buyed in Japan (for example what was the difference in the mznh1 when it came out, or any other unit, just need a reference)
-
GRF, do you think is it possible to take a picture of the preview or something like that? BTW what do you mean with "preview"? a video played in a computer? yes you're right. Indeed, I think that HiMD units don't "use" all the speed you can get with USB 1.1 because of the slow writing to the disc operation.
-
wow! that's great news. Any info for now Ishi?
-
emptyzero please tell me the shipping cost for a couple of discs to rochester,ny. thanks
-
please let me know when you put a price on the discs. I'm interested in them. Also let me know the price for the mznh1. BTW it's not a deck , it's a portable.

The DH10P Review by The Blue Raja
sebastianbf replied to theblueraja's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
thank you man. Nice review and awesome pictures, indeed best pictures of the screen i've had seen in a review of the dh10p. I'll try to post some pictures of the unit when I get mine (hope to get as good results as you). Thanks for all your time and opinions that help me decide between this unit or the rh10. Cheers! -
are you selling the nh1 and the eh930? if so, please tell me the prices. thanks
-
oh no lcd remote :( (thanks for the info guys)
-
Two more questions Blueraja: What's the download button for in the dh10p? and does the north american model (the dh10p you got from etronics) comes with a LCD remote? What about the short usb cable? thanks again mate
-
lol. Not so many bucks in my pockets , so... where did you buy the extra battery?
-
where did you get your dh10p bluraja? What do you do with the battery since it's almost a internal one? Do you charge it every night? Is there anything wrong with that?
-
WOW! thanks blueraja for the opinions, that's exactly what i wanted to read. I was confused between both models because of the screen and the robust feel of each one. Man! with that pics I think I'll get the dh10p, it looks amazing. Thank you again man
-
it's irony. BTW blueraja which one do you like the most and why: mz-rh10 or dh10p ? I'm going to buy one of these models and the price is similar so help me decide. thanks

Help! How do I learn to use mz-rh10? Useless manual.
sebastianbf replied to jardinesparrot's topic in Minidisc

There's an online store called the electric goldmine (or electronic goldmine, can't remember well). I bought some batteries from them about 5 months ago I think. They sell the original Sony gumstick battery (1350mah) at a very low price, like 6 U.S dollars each. The batteries don't come with the original packaging but I can tell you they're new. Here's the address: http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prod...aitem=2&mitem=5

hello everyone: I've just sold my mznh900 , so I want to buy a new unit. I was thinking of getting a Rh10. It looks awesome with the oled and it seems like a very good player (thanks "reviewers") in sound and building quality. The thing is that new HIMD models had always been launched in april/may (correct me if I'm wrong) and I'm thinking that maybe I should wait a little and try to get a new model. What is your opinion about this? any advice? . Does anyone has some information about 3rd gen Himd release date or anything else? What we can expect from a new generation? Thanks for your time

I'm from Chile. I'll be glad to give you any help or advice if you need something.
