Yes, I am in Paris.....thanks....It is the european model 600... and the volume seems good too. I had heard the European models were not loud enough, I am using Koss The Plug earphones and usually only have the voume up to 16 or 17. I will look for a mic and try to record a show here..Plus the JVC Jazz festival starts in June.

This may seem like a stupid question, but will the MZNH600's LINE IN (optical) work with some kind of mic? like a powered mic? I know I cheaped out and bought the low end model, but I could not pass it at $50....Figured it wouldserve as a good intro. Thanks in advance for your help! p.s. I am using Sonicstage 3.1 and converted all my MP3s to atrac with the converter...works fine if you have the disc space!!

If MP3s, WMAs, or Atrac files are put onto the Hi-MD as data using explorer, will they be uploadable and playable on a second computer? Or does sony play DRM god?
