  1. Mostly been a lurker but have appreciated advice in the past and now *think* I have found a little tip that could be of big help to y'all. It is a variation on advice seen elsewhere on this forum in the past - but I think goes a bit further - and is proving to be a big time saver for me! The problem: Whenever you import compilation albums (or indeed any albums with diff. artist names in track details) to sonicstage it thinks each track is an album in its own right. The old solution: You had to manually right click on EACH track and check the "compilation" box and sonicstage would reluctantly group tracks together as a compilation album one by one. The new solution: - set my library to View/All tracks - select Search/(by) Album - Type in first few letters of Album name - You should now have all tracks from the album nicely together on the screen - AND sonicstage now allows you to select all tracks (click top one, then hold down shift and click bottom track to select all), then right click - You now have a different dialogue box! Check the box "Tracks in the compilation albums" (sic) - You now have a properly grouped compilation album - unfortunately this album is now listed under the name of the first artist of the album - However this artist name can be changed to Various artists back in the normal SS views Hope that is helpful to others! Its certainly a big help to me. Cheers, btr
  2. Hello. Cant really complain as I am one of the lucky people who goat a £70 unit from Amazon . . . Its a nice bit of kit and am happy with purchase. Anyone else sharing these niggles though? USB power - only works for sonicstage / or datafile operation - why cant you use usb power just to play the unit?! Recordings in HIMD mode from SOnicstage. Having transferred tracks from a CD via sonicstage from a "mixed" CD on the md unit I now get an annoying jump in sound when it moves to the next track. Shame. Had read all the moans about SStage on here but cant believe Sony put their name to something this poor. Quite odd really. I am holding out hoping that a new proper version of sonicstage must come out with the lauch of the HIMD units, please? Cheers, RB nb - one odd little thing is if you are using sonicstage and scrollbars in a dialog box are being really slow, click into explorer, whizz the scrollbar a bit, go back into sonicstage and it has freed up. Not very useful really but.....
  3. Newbie here. Same issue. Any advice anyone? New MZ-NH900 in hand. Old Sonicstage2.1 AE in box. Is sonicstage 3.0 available for use in the UK/Europe or are we stuck with 2.1 - if so why!? If no 3.0 Are there any interim upgrades I can get? And any clues when this might be resolved? - seems a bit bizzarre. Thanks guys. Rich
