I just backed up my extensive ATRAC3 library using SonicStage 3.0. I understand that I can retrieve all my ATRAC songs in case I have to reformat my hd or reinstall windows (I never tried either, but I hope this will work). The SonicStage backup tools will (hopefully) recognize my computer as the one that imported the ATRAC3 files from CD and will therefore play the files. My questions are: How does this work exactly, i.e., how does SonicStage recognize my computer as the one that created the ATRAC files? Would SonicStage still recognize my computer if I would exchange hardware components (hard drive, graphic card, mother board, sound card, etc.)? Apparently, I cannot copy my ATRAC3 files to another computer by copying my library to it (or so I heard). What if I buy a new computer? Can I transfer the songs and the copyrights from my old computer to my new computer, i.e., I can play the files on my new computer, but not on my old computer, or are there any other ways to copy ATRAC3 files that have been imported from a CD to computer A to computer B? Questions over questions... I hope somebody has the knowledge and the time to help me. Thanks in advance, Jens
