hmm im planning to use a shotgun mike- senheisser type- with its own battery- but because the minidisc player itself doesnt have a mic in getting this pre-amp will i be able to control the mic sensitivity (gain?) and be able to use the line in (becasuse theres no mic in?) thanks heaps guys

i know this doesnt have a mic input but is there anyway of recording on this using a mic? im guessing u cant just use the line-in. thanks heaps for any help

Hey guys. im gathering ppl do are doing some recording on their minidisc players. i want to know what would be the best one to get. im recording sound for movies- like on set and it would be cool if i could record and then plug into my computer and download the sounds as actual sound files (so i can then edit with my video footage). heres my question... Do i need a Hi-MD player or can i get away with using a Net MD player? thanks heaps for any help

Hey everyone. If i record using a mic with a Hi-MD minidisc player what format does it put on the disc? I mainly want to know whether i can connect it to my computer and download a "file" of the sound instead of recording the sound back onto the computer. thanks
