  1. Hi mate what do you mean by flat? Do you have one of these devices yourself and which settings have you used to get the best results. I have used it in the house with the surround sound system very loud, but with the line-in setup the sound is VERY dead and there does not seem to be any treble in it at all no matter what swtch I put on the sound module? Yet when I use the mic input the sound is crisp but due to the high volume the sound recording is distorted! Any ideas? tony
  2. hi there I am going to a live concert this week and need some urgent advice from anyone who has used a sony mini disk recorder with the combined setup of the MM-BSM-8 ear microphones and the mm-ebm-1 sound module I am using a Sony NZ-NH1 and I have done some tests using the sound module device but need to know if anyone has used one as I have no more time to experiment with this device before the concert. There are 8 small swithces on the inside of the module so that you can alter the bass/treble effect of the recording based on the sound source. Does anyone know aht is the best setting for use in a live concert environment that will give the best results? tony tony.jones@wme.co.uk

  4. hi guys pretty new to this mini disc music transfer lark so looking for some advice please. I have a sony NZ-nh1 mini disk and I have bought it primerily for recording stuff off the TV and off video/DVD through the TV and transferring it onto my computer with the intention of ultimately trasferring it onto my ipod!! Now is that far fetched or what!!!!!!! Can this in theory be done and how.? It says in the sonic stage manual that you cannot download anything that has been recorded from an external source especially through a microphone which throws my live recording theory out of the window and does this also apply to stuff off the TV? I have recorded something off the video through the TV and it plays on the 1 GB disk NO WORRIES. Now I need to get it onto my computer through sonic stage but firstly the device is not registering through the USB connection to transfer files onto my computer. what am I doing wrong. Do I need some kind of interface or gizmo in order to bypass the fact that it has been taped off the TV? Why is it not allowing me to transfer stuff when it plays on the mini disc so well. Do I need to set up the Mini disc machine itself in order for it to read a certain music file format so that the sonic stage can recognise it? Is it that the computer is not recognising the mini disc because the file format on the mini disc is not set up correctly? is there a way around downloading stuff that I have taped in a live concert environment onto my computer through sonic stage or do I have to convert this taped stuff on the mini disk into something else? Sonic stage seems a pretty logical software to use very much like itunes I cannot understand why the computer is not registering the mini disc through the USB port yet it does my digital camera? Lots of questions can someone out there PLEASEHELP tony
  5. the other really annoying feature is that the sonic stage software does not support mac formatted version tony
