I've tryied what u sugested it didn't work out. the computer still reboots. If u install windows Xp (without service pack) and later u install Service pack 2 in that case I think that the solution u gave could work. My windows xp comes with service pack 2 pre-installed. I suspect it has something to do with my motherboard.... I have 3 Hard Disks. At IDE 1 I have 2 Seagates "Barracuda" one of 120 gb (only one partition) and other of 80 GB (Master)(System partition and other for backups and other stuff). At IDE 2 I have a Seagate "Barracuda" 120 GB (only one partition) and a LG 4082B DVD-RAM drive (Master). One day I needed to test a friends disk to see if it was working properly... It didn't work. And when I connected my 120 gb at ide 2 back something strange happened. At the bios check there was 3 disks BUT after Windows finished boot sequence i Went to My Computer and there the 120 gb hd at ide 2 didn't appear. I go to disk manager, hardware properties and other places and i didn't found the disk. It simply vanished. So I thought that the disk wasn't well conected so I check the conection cables with the pc turned off and tried again. No results. So the first thought I had was to update my motherboard chipset drivers and thats what i did. I installed the updates and rebooted. Windows booted up and... BINGO! Problem solved. I installed sonicstage after this happened. And since I need the damn drivers to have the 3 disks conected at the same time i haven't uninstalled them just because of sonistage 'cause a the computer works great with every program I install except for sonicstage. The only possible solution I encounter here is format the c:\ drive and see what happens with a fresh copy of Winodws Xp SP2 Integrated. What do u guys think? Thanks a lot for all your posts

In fact there is no "error". I installed Windows Xp with integrated Sp2. 2 months later I tried to install Sonicstage and the install is always sucessful. The thing is that when I Try to Initiate the program my computer simply reboots. It happens the same thing when u press the reset button.

Look I don't get any error messages at the install. Are u sure this will resolve the problem?

Look i've seen the logs and checked out the error at windows support it says that the error was caused by a device driver the problem is that they were unable to determine wich driver is causing this.... if Sonic Stage worked before it has to work on a fresh copy of this windows xp sp2... So what I'm going to do when I have the time is to format the HD and install Windows XP SP2. If it works cool if not I have to use another program that do the same thing. The problem is that I haven't heard about one thats identical to Sonic Stage except Simple Burner. But Simple burner doesn't go get the files from the HD. It only rips Cd's to MD's. thanks

[attachmentid=213] I have Norton Internet Security 2005 and I runned Norton AV 2005 on all hd drives no virus found. I tried a memory test and everythings cool. I haven't checked the events watcher yet but later today I'll do that cause now i'm at school. I only had time to do the memory test and virus check. about the option I deactivated was this one on the screenshot.

I found the panel forget about the screenshot. I deactivated the reboot option in case of error and now I get a Blue Screen with an error message. It says that its a memory error. but how come this error can ocur if I have 768 MB of ram????? I am starting to become desperate about this shitty error...

interesting theory but how do i do it? can u post a screenshot of the panel? thanks in advance

I've uninstalled ss 2.3 and tried ss 3.1 no luck again . To do the uninstalation I use a great program named Your Uninstaller 2004. This program starts the program uninstalation executable of the program u want to uninstall either the uninstalation isn't/is sucessful He erases all the registry settings left by the program. and clears the directory he was installed in. I updated my Xp today and still it doesn't work. I've e-mailed sony about the problem and i'm waiting for an answear. Cyberlink Power DVD works great on my PC and I think it hasn't anything to do with the ss problem cause when I installed Cyberlink Power DVD ss already had this problem. Thanks again

Hi. I've installed SonicStage 2.3 on Windows Xp pro (no sp) and it worked great. It runned without any convertion probs etc. Simply perfect. I had to update my Xp. So I format the c:\ drive and installed Windows Xp Pro with Service Pack 2 included. Everything works great on my Pc except SonicStage ... It installs normaly but when I try to start the program my pc craches after the initialization... dunno why but it really sucks. I've already tried all SonicStage versions avaiable. This is really shitty 'cause i can't get any songs to my NetMD. I haven't connected my NETMD to my PC. Because of this problem, i'm scared of getting my netmd "on fire" lol I have a P4 3Ghz 768 Mb Ram Radeon 9600 XT 256MB 320 Gb Of HD Any solutions? Thanks in Advance
