I think I agree with you about going with an older version.. I'm thinking about buying a MZ-N10, are they a good buy? But even if I record onto a standard MD (not a 1gigger) using the RH910, that won't be readable in an MD deck? I thought the HiMD was back compatible with standard discs.

Hi, i'm torn between buying a RH910 or a NH900.. The main thing I need to do is record in standard format on a standard MD (non-HiMD) for interviews etc to be played back on a MD deck in our computing labs here at university. The reason i've chosen HiMD is that the extra storage capability will definitely come in handy (and having the new technology wouldn't hurt either). So what does everyone think? Should I go for the 900 or the 910? What are the pros and cons? Can both record in a standard format on a STANDARD non hi-md formatted MD? I've also heard the NH900 is prone to faultiness.
