It wouldn't start when I put a new cd in and the cd info button was missing. I gave up on 3.3, uninstalled it and reinstalled 3.4. This time I enabled cd smoothing and I haven't had any problems so far. Touch wood. I'm indifferent to Sonicstage but it is usable, I'm very impressed with the HD5 though.

Nice find. I resorted to eBay for my HD5H.

I've been looking at DAPs for far too long now and recently purchased my first HDD DAP (I also have a 1GB iAudio 5). I finally got an HD5H 30GB on eBay for a good price. I like the X5L but I wanted gapless playback and decent battery life (and the ability to swap the battery easily). The X5 provides excellent flexibilty but the HD5 had the features I wanted. Sonicstage could be better but 3.4 works ok.

I had the same problem with SS 3.4, the music would skip on various tracks. I tried 3.1 which worked ok, now I'm trying 3.3 which seems alright but I can't get gracenote to work... *sigh*
