You *may* be in luck. It just depends if you want to be a guinea pig. I was browsing through the service manual for the E50x series and theres an option to change a tuner setting. To enter the test mode, put it in hold state, press and hold PLAY\STOP, then press reset. If you press the MENU button, you should be able to change the Fmax\Fmin (frequency range) of the tuner. The service manual is posted in the downloads section of the forum.
