yeah sure i deleted those files said, then searched for anymore files and deleted those if any were found, then i proceeded to delete all references to openmg and sonicstage in the registry. i then downloaded the 3.1 thingy and ran that, and then it stops when installing the files after it has extracted them and simply says the installation process has been terminated its still doing it after i retried doing what you listed
-
its still doing it, really dont know what to do, it terminates right when it starts to install sonicstage
-
should i delete all of the sony corporation in the regsitry might that help?
-
ok the error message isnt coming up anymore now it just says the installation process has been terminated, even though i didnt terminate it any advice?
-
ok im currently doing this, should i remove all things which say sonicstage and openmg or should i just remove all the files in those 2 folders?

ive tried everything i can think of but this program is just not working for me and im really fed up of it. recently downloaded the 3.1 installer to upgrade as i have version 2.0 which is what came with my mz-nh1 launch the installer, download the updates, then when it comes to uninstalling the older program i get an error message: 'An installation support file could not be installed. Access Denied.' i retry it a couple of times but get the same message. so i uninstall sonic stage completely from my computer, then reinstall it, but get the same message when it tries to install the openmg secure module, this is from the cd by the way. so i click okay and it installs the other parts for the program. then i get another error message: 'Error reading archive. The selected file(s) couldn't get extracted.' and then it lists some files and asks me to specify another location to find them, even though its installing from the cd. i have tried to remove all trace of sony sonicstage from my computer through the registry as it says in the faq on this forum, then try reinstalling, but it does not work i am so annoyed and i sincerely hope that someone will be able to help me out!! thanks very much Robert
