  1. Sh1, Here is my case. I own a nh900 and a rh10. Both units are bought from HongKong sony store. The disc that I record from my nh900, it did not display correctly on my rh10. I am sure that my rh10 can display Chinese, as for the newly record disc from rh10 can display correctly. That is why I suspectly the encodeing problem. But in your case even it is the same nh1, but as you said they are from different country, 1 is japan, and 1 from China. I think for the Japan one, they will able to support Japanese, and English, but not other Language. For Sony to support Chinese they need to have a Chinese font include in the unit. So they may only include in the molde that need Chinese support in those countries. In return of Chinese support, we get a non-LCD display remote.
  2. I think I can explain a little bit here. it may not be the true case. this is just what I guess has happened. Since rh910 you bought did not support asian language, think so when you transfer to the song to the disc will use the wrong encoding to write to the disc, it is the rh910 that matter, not sonic stage. So even when you use a nh1 that support Asian language still will not able to display it, because it is wrongly encode in the first place.
