  1. Thanks a lot for all the responses. I ended up going with DigitalPhoto after picking them from a PriceGrabber lineup. Ended up being $300 even for MZ-RH10, 3yr Mack extended warranty, and 2nd day air. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it turned out. thanks

  3. Hi. Sorry you have to part with these, but I think that you have helped me a little. I hope I've helped you. I think the payment already went through so I don't know how you will do the $5 dollar discount. But hey my forum membership has payed off already. In more ways than one.
  4. Bought it. Probably should have held out for better deal since he seemed to be getting desperate. haha just kidding. Thanks for the deal, glad i could help you out. Please ship quickly, I'm moving from Kentucky to Texas in probably less than two weeks. Thanks again.
  5. Thanks for the info. You proved me right with the quick reply. I can buy a little easier now. So for the real live recording question ... dun dun duh!!!! Is the remote usually helpful in live situations. I can imagine the LCD remote would be more effective for stealth. Maybe you're hiding the player and only using the remote. Is this acurate? BTW speaking of stealth, Splinter Cell, Chaos Theory is a great game for the Xbox. Any way thanks again for the response.
  6. Many of the discounted sellers are selling the MZ-RH10 without the charging stand and without the lcd remote. Is this worth the extra $40 to $50? If you don't have a charging stand, how do you cahrge the batteries? Also, how many of you actually use the remote or is it easier to just use the face of the recorder. If you do use a remote, is the lcd really necessary? I'd love to make a purchase soon, tonight even, but this has given me pause. I probably put this post in the wrong place, so i apologize, but i'm new here and I have always recieved quick replies in the recording section. That's what I'll use it for anyway. Thanks
  7. Why haven't you used the clips, do they not fit these mics well? Just curious. Also, how (other than here) can i prove I am a forum member on Ebay. But maybe i just did that. I'm interested

  9. Yes, I was born shy, so I was forced to become a ninja. But no actually, I'm gonna go shopping with a mouse and a credit card. Really I'm just compensating for the lack of personality on my forum posts. A little ninja wont offend ya. Okay, that was cheesy.
  10. 1.Mars Volta Rocks 2.Audition, Cool Edit Pro, (whichever) Rocks. I like you guys already. What kind of omnis is A440 talking about? I'm looking to purchase soon.
  11. Thanks for the reply. That was quite helpful. I'll probably go with the RH10, I'm kinda struck by it. Any mic recommendations?
  12. Hello all. I just registered here. I'm looking to buy soon and i am trying to find what would be best for my needs. I've wanted a minidisc recorder for awhile now, and I'm finally going to buy one for myself as a graduation present. Undergrad in Music Business, and English minor. I would greatly appreciate any help offered. I am a true audiophile, I actually want a MD recorder for its portability, to just record everyday, interesting sounds that i hear. Therefore i will need something that is best suited for on the fly recording, with variable mic sensitivity, and input adjustment while recording. I anticipate a lot of quick recording needs where i will hear a sound and try to record it as fast as possible. I would also like the convenience of easy information tagging, and computer compatability. I iwll undoubtedly use it for live music reording as well, but I am really more concerened with general sound recording. Think sound design. (oh yeah and battery life will be important too). I am expecting to spend around $200 for the recorder, but I would probably spend more if i thought it was worth it. I intend to buy a good hand held mic, hopefully for less than $100 with 20-20,000hz frequency range. I know that many versions of minidisc recorders are available, and that the newest isn't always the best. So i thought i would ask the experts here. Again, I would sincerely appreciate any help available. I have no brand loyalties or anything like that, I simply want the best quality for the purchase. Thanks.
