  1. ok.. thanks a lot for the help. i guess all ive got to go on is replacing the part myself, or maybe sending the sucker in for some expensive treatment. sure theres no sort of contact spray/device that i cuold use to avert having to learn how to solder and probably burn a hole in the player in the process?? jeez you guys know a lot.
  2. ok, going to give it one more shot and wait a couple more days to see if i can garnish some advice from anyone, then send it in! thanks.
  3. yeah, like i said. i dont have the warranty and even if the friend i got the player from could find it, it's probably not valid now that i opened the player. i know that everything esle works perfectly, and its just a bad connection in the headhpone jack.. i just need someone to help me with exactly what i should be looking for how to fix the problem! is there any sort of contact spray i could use? a jack adaptor? anything?
  4. hi, i have an HD3 that i got from a friend who upgraded (and didnt have the documentation, so no warranty i guess ). it has worked perfect until two days ago. I started it up at the gym and the sound only came through in one ear. i jiggled the headhpone plug inside the jack to see if that helped, and found out that if i press it hard to one side (towards the front of the player) then i get stereo sound. from this, i deduced that the problem is a bad connection in the headphone jack (i checked other headsets). I opened the player to investigate, but i cant find out how to adjust or fix the problem!! Have downloaded the service manual but theres nothing about how to fix this specific problem.. also checked a few forums for answers, but to no avail. I dont know much about electronics, so any help at all would be of use!!! THANKS, christian (new member!)
