Well, I did exactly as you said with the German download and Sonicstage now recognizes both the MD and the MP3 players. Thanks so much. On dial up it took a long time to download but it was worth the wait. We had tried everything else and so it's nice to see that we can finally use everything. Thanks again and be blessed.

Hi there. I'm having the same trouble with the MZ-NH700. When I first installed SS2.0 it worked fine but now with the SS3.0 the MD isn't recognized. I also have a Sony MP3 and it still recognizes this unit. I'm running WindowsXP on a Pent IV. What else can be done? Thanks.

I finally got the SonicStage 3.1 to recognize and transfer unto my son's MP# Network Walkman but when my other son tries to use his Sony Hi-Md Walkman it won't recognize it at all. It says Device/Media not connected. The Hi-Md is showing under Options and transfers but you can't get to any transfer settings for the Hi-Md. What's up? Thanks for the help.

Hi, I have been having trouble with Sonicstage since a recent system restore. I've completed the suggestions on the forums with no luck. I recently tried to download the SonicStage as per the website important topic Pinned: Sonicstage 3.1 Full Installer, Courtesy Of Mdcf. Requires no additional 'net connection! but when I went to run the program it says that it failed to download WMP9 Codecs please install manually. It takes me to a website where I downloaded and installed it. But the SonicStage aborts saying that MSI: DX: 4.09.00.0904 WMP: 9.0.0.3250, 1 WMP: 9.0.0.3250, getting WMP9 Codecs... ExecShell: open "http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/codecdownload.aspx" Failed to download WMP9Codecs: Unable to open C:\Documents and Settings\Lisa Watson\Desktop\Downloads\WM9Codecs.exe What can I do now? Thanks.

I followed the instructions given but it still doesn't work. However, I'm not sure if I completed this step (3) correctly. Should I delete everything under the HKEY keys or just if I see OpenMG written there? There was no mention of OpenMG in the registry when I looked. THanks again for the help.

My son has a HiMD Walman MZ-NH700. Copied lots of songs with SonicStage before and now it won't allow it, Gives this message. "Cannot use this disc as an audio disc because it was initalized by a progran other than SonicStage. Click Properties on the Device/Media panel and initalize the disc to use it as an audio disc." We did this and of course all the songs were erased and it still gives the same message. What's the problem? Thanks for the help. Running SonicStage 3.1.

How do I convert from mp3 to wav? Thanks

I'm not sure what's variable or constant. I check the different songs and some show a bitrate of 128, 160, 192. The 128 and 192 and the most common ones with alot of the different songs. Hope this helps.

The format is MP3(MPEG1AudioLayer3). Thanks.

Our sons received a Sony Network Walkman and MD Walkman for Christmas. We installed the SonicStage program and everything worked fine. Now when they go to transfer songs from the computer to their walkmans the following occurs: "An error occurred while transferring. Cannot convert the specified track. SonicStage does not support the format of the track..." This is occurring even with songs that they have transferred previously. I installed the 3.1 version hoping that would help but it didn't. We are running WinXP, Morpheous, WinMX, Nero, etc. Don't know if you need any more information. Hope someone can help. The boys would appreciate it since they would like to be able to use their walkmans. Thanks.
