In about 2 months I'll be at Street Scene, a musical festival in San Diego. My favorite group Garbage will be performing and I'd really like to make a recording of the concert. I've done some research, most pointing towards the minidisc format. I've been looking to get a portable music player anyways, and now I have my eye on the MZ-RH10 or the RH910. What I don't know too much of is mics. Garbage's sound, if you haven't heard it, is very intensive; it's been described as a "wall of sound." If you'd like to hear some, here's a sample. I've read some stuff about bass roll filters and other things, but I really don't know what to do. Some advice or suggested reads would be very much appreciated.
