  1. Hi again. I have just tried a short recording off the t.v. on a new blank, I renamed the file in the transfer window and it converted . Played it and it opened fine. I transfered my latest live recording ( james blunt) and named the transfer "blunt". It transfered and converted. Opened it in wavelab and all is ok. Just wondering if the short file name as opposed to the default date and time name has made the difference?. Anyway the sound is a bit low ,I have used a maplins headphone control and awia small mic, maybe the mic is`nt good enough but hope to boost it up in wavelab. Now onto ray davies and greg lake next month. Thanks for your advice everyone. razor
  2. Again thanks for the quick post, yes I do have the original .oma file and it does indeed play through sonic 3.2. I think I will buy another hi-md disk and play around by recording through the mike a track from my hifi and then transfer it to sonicstage until I get it right. The file I am having trouble with is about 2 hours long in hi sp mode. Thanks again. razor
  3. Hi. Thanks for your reply, yes the files I converted a couple of months ago play fine. Am I supposed to rename the file before transferring, I dont remember having to do that before, I converted to wav after transfer. This time when I converted I get a wav file but cannot open it with any program. I have copied the new file to dvd to keep it safe. any ideas please.
  4. Hi everyone. Has anyone got any advice for me ,I recorded a show the other night on my hi-md nh1 and although I can upload to ss 3.2 ,when I try to convert to wav it saves the new file but I cannot open it with any program, they say unexpected format found.I used ss 3.1 a few months ago and had no trouble converting. Is the procedure any different? cheers in advance razor
