Braindead

Hi Forum, I am glad that i knwo about this forum now, but i am sad that it took so long... After 5 years of MD using, i bought a new portable MD (NH700). I have tons of live DJ sets which i would like to play on the MD. After just draggin the MP3 to the MD (Mac Os X !!!), i can SEE that the mpeg file is available as DATA file on the MD, but not as playable file. How does this work? Can I use MP3 files, or do i need to convert them first? Are there applications available that converts MP3 to ATRAC (and vice versa would be nice for all my live recordings)? If there is only such software available for PC (mostly we, Mac Users, have such problems) i could switch and work on my PC, but tha Mac has a better sound !!!. Hope i can find answers on this forum.
