So, in what will be heralded by every one who hears it as a bad idea, I've decided to compile a CD of my greatest hits. Hi, my name is Spessartine, and I'm a karaoke junkie. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my Sony NE410. When I realized what a pain it was to have to connect to the computer to change songs on my MP3 player, I became an instant convert. But alas, my little NE410 isn't going to help me with my recording career. So, my questions. I know there are minidisc recorders out there that have microphone in jacks, but what format do they record in? Can I upload the recordings to my PC to burn to CD's with which I could torture my friends and enemies? If I get an older model without a USB connection, can I use SonicStage and my NE410 to move recordings from the minidisc to my PC? Do some models/brands record more efficiently, or are there any options/features I should be looking for other than an microphone jack? Your help would be greatly appreciated, and I promise not to inflict my CD on you.
