Eugenboico, would you mind posting the result of your os reinstall, i.e. did you get SS to install. I'm having problems installing SS as well and I'm considering reinstalling my os. Cheers.

I'm seriously considering rebuilding my PC and reinstall everything from scratch. It's just that it will take a long time to do that and I want to exhaust every other possibility before I go down that road. By the way, I wrote to Sony about this and the reply I got was that they have "very limited support at this time for Sonic Stage 3.1 therefore we are prepared to look into this further for you however we are unable to give you a timescale on the resolution". How's that for support...

Hey badchad, have you also tried running the installation program for the OpenMG Secure Module separately like I did ? And if you have did you get the same error (The wizard was interrupted before OpenMG Secure Module could be completely installed) ? This is so bloody frustrating, I've tried everything I can think of and searched several forums but still no success...

Good suggestion...except I've tried that as well with the same result. The thing is, the older version of OpenMG Secure Module that gets installed with SS 2.x apparently cannot be used with SS 3.1 so that gets uninstalled as part of the upgrade to 3.1. All I can think of now is to rebuild my PC from scratch but I really don't want to do that, that will take days.

Hi Volta. I've tried to install from Connect, the result was the same. I've also checked other posts related to openmg problems. I found one post with a similar problem which was solved by manually removing the SS entry from the registry because it still showed in the 'ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS' after uninstalling it. However, mine seems to uninstall correctly, it doesn't show in 'ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS' but I still get the "install terminated".

I'm unable to install SonicStage 3.1. This is what happens: The installer goes through it's various installation parts until it gets to the end of the SonicStage Addon install and then I get a message saying "Installation process for SonicStage 3.1 has been terminated". Needless to say I did not click the cancel button. My OS is WinXP SP 2, PC is 2.4 GHZ with 768MB RAM. I am installing using a CD ROM. After further investigating (by installing each component separately from the cd) I've come to the conclusion that it may be the OpenMG Secure Module that fails. When I run the install for it, at the end I get the message "The wizard was interrupted before OpenMG Secure Module could be completely installed". So what is it that prevents it from installing ??? I have the latest version of Windows Installer (3.1). I might add that I previously had an older version of OpenMG Secure Module which came with OpenMG Jukebox 2.2 which I have both uninstalled. I have also tried to delete all Sony directories and edit the registry to delete old references to Sony products as described in this forum but to no avail....so basically I'm stuck Please, if anybody has any suggestions let me know... PS. I have no problems installing an older version (SS 2.0).
