Hi R, Sorry to hear you're having problems. It sounds just by your discription that the drive mechanism is jammed. That's the reason your not seeing any disk data. The disk needs to spin in order for the player to read the disk, (of course). Check to see if there is any foreign objects lodged inside. The only other recourse is to send it to a authorized repair center. Could be cheaper just to buy a new one.
