Yeah, I have the same problem with SS not recognising the discs - but it sounds like you had it for a moment there, when you reinstalled ss2.1 - but your problem was that you can't burn a regular audio cd from there, but you can if you get the wave converter from sony. It takes a couple of steps, but you'll get what you want in the end. Simon
