Since I'm an NW-3 owner, I've never even bothered with Connect, since I've heard that Connect is useless unless you have a brand new player. Why didn't they build in backward compatibility with their software? Sure wish SonicStage had a bigger window for the NW-3. You can't really do true maintenance on the unit, especially with such a small window. And... as someone else pointed out, you can't create true playlists. If you want a song in more than one playlist, you have to make another copy of the same song. What a waste.

I can't believe that no one else has had this problem. Does Sony think that their public would only own one computer? Why can't I load my HD3 with songs from more than one computer? It doesn't make sense.

When I purchased my NW-HD3, I loaded Sonicstage on my computer at home (SonicStage 2.3). I then loaded my CD library onto that computer. Then I transferred those files onto my HD3. Everything was working fine. Now, just recently, I purchased a new laptop, loaded SonicStage 3.2 (newest version), and burned a couple of CDs onto the laptop. I thought I would be able to hook up my HD3 to my new laptop and transfer those CD's onto it, but apparantly, it wants to initialize the HD3, which includes wiping off everything that's already on the unit! Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Are you not allowed to have two sources (computers) for your HD3? Or, is it that I have two different versions of Sonicstage (2.3 on one computer, and 3.2 on the other)? Or... something else?

This is something that is sorely missing in the software for all those people (including myself) that have a Network Walkman (I have the NW-HD3). It's ridiculous to try to organize the files on a 20 gig machine with only a tiny window, and very little sorting options. I'm sure I've got duplicate songs all over HD3. Plus, trying to organize and rename groups, artists, and other attributes (so they have a better sort, etc) is just pathetic. The window should be as large as, if not larger, than the "My Library" window. Sony needs to take a page from Windows Media Player regarding the ability to organize music. It should also recognize "The" in the Artists, such as "The Rolling Stones", and put them under "R", instead of "T". Such a simple thing to do in code. It just shows laziness on the part of Sony. Sorry for the rant, but c'mon Sony, get your act together!
