  1. One more thing Volta, Do you know if this program will recover .OMA files, as I never got chance to convert them into WAV? Thanks for the great help so far, Clowster
  2. Unfortunately they are no longer in the PC. I first renamed what I thought was the track names, but after transfering them discovered I only renamed the groups (not realising they had created groups as well as tracks) had been transferred with unknown names. Not knowing which was which (as these recordings were passed onto me to do) Ithought I would delete them and try again (renaming the tracks on MD and transferring) This I now know erased them, and I unfortunately deleted the first files from the PC. This happened 3 days ago, so I guess.... I will try the file recovery. Any suggestions of where to look or how to use the file recovery softwares? Clowster I have just saved the .exe application for pci_filerecovery, I don't want to offend... but is it a safe/reliable program, as microsoft prompts me by saying 'its an unknown program with no certified' something or other. The PC is my works computer, and is linked with a large server. Cheers Clowster
  3. Cheers Volta, Appologies for not given enough details. The SonicStage was an updated version from the Sony website and thought it was Version2.3, but now looking at the application, it says V. 2.8. Can this be right? I also have Wav Converter V. 1.0 and MD Simple Burner V. 2.0 The OS of the computer I was working on is Windows XP Professional with SP2 only. CPU is 1.8GHz With 256 of RAM At the time of the transfer, I had Microsoft Outlook open, along with max 2 explorer's. On bottom bar, MD Burner, Win Zip, Quick Time Local Connection, Sound, Anti Virus..etc. icons ,is always displayed. I had tried once before... Does Sony really erase if you try again. If so thats plain stupid on their part? Can I do anything with the .HMA files on the disc? Cheers, Clowster
  4. Can anyone help? While transferring audio files from Hi-MD to PC using SonicStage, the files were unexpectedly deleted from Hi-MD disc. (I know I didn't click delete by accident, and the transferring bar appeared like normal, but only one the last audio file was transferrred...the rest lost) The disc now says there are no tracks. Does anyone know of a way to retrieve these from my disc if deleted? Also,I have looked at my disc as a removeable drive, and I see many .HMA files. What are these? I have been reading many posts around these files, can these be converted to .oma files so that SonicStage can read them? Any ideas?
