Good day, everybody! About a week ago I have received my network walkman E407 with 1Gb onboard. Well. I was happy with design, but listening test were a bit disapointing. I already have a very old D-NE705 Sony compact disc player with MDR 848 earphones. It still sounds great. So, I compared the sound of E407 to my old discman... Hm. E407 really lacks equalizer. It has Bass and treble control. However, Bass seems to be controlled at about 100-200Hz (mid bass). So the very low end is disapointing in comparison to my old NE705 (all tests with the same 848 headphones) Does anybody knows - is it possible to upgrade E407 with new software or hack it? (After searching the web, I found that some models are "hackable" =))
