It seems that the only reason my headphones ever die when the wire gets weakened at a stress point. I have gone through 3 pairs of the sony MDR-EX71sl and I hate to to keep buying them just because of these wire problems. (I also just got the D66s, which will be more expensive to replace - I almost want to just keep sending these things back to Sony until they add the nice reinforced fabric cable like some of the cheaper earclip models to the pro model) I just got a new pair today and I'm wondering, has anyone here ever found any method of reinforcing your headphone cables while they are still new such as, shrink-wrap, tape, glyptal, or some such thing? I'm going to try some method on the current EX71s and if that works then I'll try it on the D66s. thanks for any help, milovoo
