ok well got back from college early today so gave it all a go. First think i tried out was disabling visual themes and guess what ...it did the trick thank you loaaaaaads for helping me out cya around

ahh thankyou. i reckon it may be video driver related as i switched from an ati card to an nvidia one and come to think of it thats where it started. well i will give it a go tomorrow, and report back. thanks for the advice

ok...further info... it works sort of but it just flickers constantly. you can get an update of a button you press by moving the window but that is the only way to get any response. This is really bugging me, and I have tried the thorough uninstallation suggested and trying older versions e.t.c. At the moment my hi-md minidisc is worthless so pleasssse help me...anything i will try! anybody???

Ok, this is the first time ive posted so hi (and sorry if this has already been covered..i couldnt find it) problem is that when i upgraded to ss 3.1 upon starting it sort of loads but is unresponsive and doesnt do anything. I get the whole window up but no details within it and the bar with all the words like file, tools etc just flickers. I tried uninstalling and going back to 2.1 (i think) and the same happened to this version. I have rescued all my songs from my library but really do not know what to do as i can no longer use my minidisc with my computer... Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to what i can do?? thanks in advance
