That's good to know. I remember my very old original unit and how hard it was to skip. I was just wondering if you could jog without damaging anything while not skipping.

I appreciate the help. One last question for you... You see a lot of accessories for other players that allow you to strap them on your arm while jogging or otherwise being active. Can an MD player also handle that type of shock?

I think at first it would be playback. Later on I might get into some recording but I honestly don't know much about what you can do with these little guys as far as recording goes. I want the native MP3 playback, and I think the idea of being able to use Hi-MD for data now is very interesting as well. Oh, and thanks for the welcome!

I'm somewhat interested in purchasing an MZ-RH10. I'd probably get the US version even though I prefer the Japanese LCD remote and cradle, but since the US can be found quite a bit cheaper...I'd have to fold and get that. Now, I have had MD before...many years ago...let's say about 6 years ago? There was a bundle that contained a portable Sony MD player and a home audio recording deck. I enjoyed it very much even though it never took off. Lately I've been looking at this MZ-RH10 in comparison to many of the competitive flash memory players that are out there. If anyone could give me a comparison between the RH10 and competitive flash players, that would be great. I've heard the RH10 is a second generation MD portable and the third generation was being worked on now. How long would it be before this third generation is released for public purchase? Is it worth holding off until then? Can't think of anything else for now...thanks in advance guys.
