Less than 6 hours to go and still less than $105
-
It's STILL at $100, feel free to bid and try to pick it up for WAY cheaper than I wanted to let it go! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170338102134
-
I have listed it with a starting price of $100: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170338102134

This is going up on eBay in a couple days, so if you want it, get in touch

over 500 views, $40 in price drop, more components and pictures added to the original posting and STILL no takers?! C'mon guys, I thought for sure the $185 would get people moving on this!

Well I've already offered to lower the price, so I'm not going to go back on that, but in light of some of the new goodies I've found, I am asking the buyer to pick up the PayPal fees and shipping. I wanted to tell you that I have found a bunch of the original swag that came with the MZ-RH10 in my closet! This includes the following (all been added to Original Post): - Original Box, packaging, manuals, and instructions - Original walkman earbudss (never used) - Original SonicStage software CD - Original Sony AC power adapter - USB cable I am currently at College in Kansas, graduating in a week and a half (yes!), and the above listed accessories and packaging are all back at home in the Washington DC area, so unfortunately I am unable to get pictures right now. But if you do purchase the item, for $185 (+ Fee's and Freight), I will hold-off on shipping it out until I get home from Kansas (the week of May 25th) and ship the entire purchase all together. I apologize for not being able to include photo's of these newly added items; they're 1,400mi away! I *think* that with all of this extra stuff, this listing now includes all components that were included in the original sale aside from the remote (and again, the battery I have is pretty much dead, it is in need of replacing if you want to be able to use the device without the assistance of the AA battery attachment or plug-in power). Thanks for looking, as always, please don't be shy with questions!

Thanks for the interest-- Honestly, $100 seems excessively low. Though this unit does have light surface scratches and a small, cosmetic crack, it is in p-e-r-f-e-c-t mechanical condition, and works absolutely perfectly. I am the original owner, I have hardly used it. The item sold new for $300, and though I know I cannot honestly expect to ask what I paid, I think that $185 is an extremely reasonable price... These units go on eBay for about this price, and God only knows what you're getting from that place.

OK-- I went back and edited my last post to indicate that I now feel that the mark next to "SONY" on the face of the device is, indeed, a small crack. I ave also taken some more pictures and uploaded them at Flickr-- please check them out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28043451@N05/...57618088455860/ Finally, I wanted to let you guys know that in light of discovering that this imperfection which I thought was a scratch, is in fact a crack, I am dropping the asking price from $225 to $185. I have updated the original post as well to reflect this price drop. Please let me know if I can answer any questions you have, or clarify any other details you see in the photo's. I am happy to clarify any uncertainties for anyone!

Yes, the imperfection on the face is a scratch, not a crack *upon closer examination, it looks like it may actually be a small crack after all, see pic's in next post. The unit was used exclusively for recording live concerts, not as a daily playback device. As such, it received very little use considering how long I've had it. I used it for probably less than 20 shows, which would've been roughly an hour and a half each, so add some on and we're looking at about 50 hours. Perhaps I'm being overly conservative, but even doubling that figure makes it just 100hrs, and I truly doubt that it has seen NEARLY that. The item is as described. I've made no effort to hide anything or misrepresent it in any way (note that I take care to include a picture that has the scratched face and a picture of the corroded battery). I'll get more pic's up soon. In the meantime, please keep on with the questions and inquiries!

Nice find! $225 might be high, I really don't know. I did some looking through the classifieds here and reckoned that it'd be about on par, but I have been encouraging people to PM me with offers. I am not married to the price of $225; it's an asking price. If you want the unit, get in touch and maybe we can work something out. If anyone out there wants to negotiate, I'm open to serious offers!

Thanks for the kind words! I really have loved this device... I hate to see it go, but I am in need of the cash and I'm MUCH rather sell it to someone who will appreciate it fully than some hack on flea-bay. I'd really rather not have to resort to auctioning it... PM me, people!

I see lots of people have viewed the listing, but I still haven't heard from anyone. PM me, offer a price, we might be able to work something out

This was the first *real* investment I made in the taper community. I enjoyed how unlike most MD recorders, this device features not only an optical input, but also on-the-fly level setting (the ability to change levels as the device is recording). The device has a very neat blue OLED display (which I really enjoyed for stealthing, as it didn't cast off much light). Many of the original things that came with the device have long-since been lost, but what I am selling is enough to run as soon as you get it: - 1 MZ-RH10 - 1 HiMD disk - 1 Original Sony pouch for the device - 1 extra external AA battery attachment (original) Edit to include: - Original Box, packaging, manuals, and instructions - Original walkman earbuds (never used) - Original SonicStage software CD - Original Sony AC power adapter - USB cable The battery attachment is a pretty neat thing, and was pretty much exclusively how I powered the device back when I was using it. It's a tiny sled, just big enough for one AA battery, which finger-screws onto the side of the device to provide extra juice. Unfortunately, the original battery is slightly corroded (pictured offsite) and cannot hold a charge for very long. I never had a problem though, with running off of one AA until juice gets low, then swapping out for another AA while relying on the other battery. I once priced out a replacement for the oddly proprietary battery that the device wants, and though I cannot recall what the exact list price was, I remember it being too high to justify. Anyways, the device is in decent cosmetic and fine mechanical condition (save the battery issue outlined above). It has some scratches on the face, normal wear (see pictures). I am asking $225 OBO PRICE DROP: $185, you cover PayPal and shipping. Thanks for looking! More info on this device can be found at this link: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-RH10.html Additional photo's UL'ed offsite: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0841copy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0846copy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0847copy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0848copy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...at/IMG_0845.jpg

thanks, but the battery identifies itself as a "Nickel-metal hydride battery" AKA: NH-14WM(A). Does this battery also have a circuit? Also, the problem seems that it may be in the MD unit after all, as when I plug it in and hit "Cancel / Chg" nothing so much as flashes up on the display... is this symptomatic of a dead battery or a malfunctioning device? Thanks again for any elaboration!

Hey there folks! I own a MZ-RH10 which I use occasionally to record live music. I am trying now to transfer my music onto my computer, however my deck will not turn on unless either the AC adapter or the extra battery pack is attached. I have tried leaving it plugged in and switched off for a while, in order to try and charge the strange, rectangular battery which comes with the device, however even this is not working (it doesn't seem to be charging at all). I am wondering what you all might think may be the culprit behind this failure to charge, and what action you think I should take in order to resolve it. My own humble prediction is that perhaps the battery is dead dead, and may need to be replaced, but I really do not use the device too much and I am unfamiliar with how often these batteries die. If you think that this is case, do you know where I can pick up a new battery and how much I can expect to pay for it? Thanks in advance! -Brian
