thank you for you input. But wow. I can't its that complicated to achieve a seemingl very simple task. Do you think, if i use an external modem. I could get this done. or its just a waist of money.

Hi everyone. I've had my MZ-NH800 for a while now. But when I got a new Hp Laptop with optical out, I decided to make a copy of a podcast i was listening to. I bought an optical cable and tried... with all settings to no avail... All I got was a message saying NO DIGITAL COPY. I know some of you will say why not use the analog connection!! well its simply because I paid for this feature and i want to try it. Is there any way I can use the optical out feature on my laptop. I heard someone say buy an external soundcard. Will that work or am I stuck using snalog although it advertises the ability to make a digital copy. Thanks a lot to anyone who can put in his input.
