Hi guys~ Ever since I bought my new MZ-RH10 Minidisc recorder, I have been having difficulties with my chinese MP3s. Every time I tried to add a file named in Chinese characters to sonicstage, it would never work. And when i renamed my mp3 files from chinese characters to letters, it would finally let me add the songs into the library. But even so, the titles and the artists names are replaced by question marks (??????????). I tried everything, and nothing seemed to work. I finally found the solution to my problem!!!! I installed the Chinese version of Windows XP, then I installed the Sonicstage 3.1 as one would normally do, and finally, i changed something in the regedit. After installing SonicStage and 3.1 and rebooting my computer, i went into "regedit" in start//run --> Using regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\OpenMG\PD\{D887F25F-02A3-44D7-841F-583DD5231B5F} --> Then locate the entry called "AreaCode" --> Change it to 800000 hexadecimal. That's the value on the Chinese install of SS. and thats ALL!! (lol it shouldnt be to hard if u have windows XP chinese version) PS: i tried applocal but it doesnt work for me
