All they seem to have left are the NH600, 700 and 800. I think I'll go for the 700 as it's a balance between value and style. I already own a European NH900 but it's run it's course. The battery's dying and the AC Adapter is fried.

Seeing as Sony distribute most EU products to the Aussies would it be fair to say that they also ship the butchered version of their HI-MD devices? This is the only thing putting me off importing; as although we use the same plugs/voltage (Ireland) I'm not in the form for restricted listening.

I know what you mean, Tommypeters. I'm a long time lurker/first time poster. I have to say I've always loved this site for useful info. In regards to safety: I'm on Paypal; so at least there's a form of redress there at least. Plus, if you wanted to buy this item I'd give you my contact details; should something go wrong. And you can never beat having registered (track and trace) couriers to make the delivery. By the end of the day I suppose it comes down to my word. And I'm glad I can say that I haven't let anyone down yet. Hopefully this will help

Brand new; though unfortunately was bought the same gift by two people! It's the US model; but also includes the LCD remote*. All original packaging, Sony warranties etc. I don't think I'll have to go through all of the details here. But if anyone's willing I'm looking at a guide price of around €220. I'm based in Ireland, but will ship anywhere. Product will come with appropriate charger for your country. Thanks for looking *LCD remote was provided by local Sony Centre.

That was quick! Thanks for the reply Ishiyoshi. I don't mind that restriction too much; I'm just glad that Atrac3+ is as good as I expected it to be. 256 will do nicely; especially with my recent revelation of the CDX-R6550's ability to play that bitrate. Looking forward to adding that little unit to my car in the near future.

..But are the new Sonicstage 3.2 Bitrates compatible with the RH-10 or are the standard three all it can play? I'm not fond of it's Mp3 playing capabilities; but I love the 256kb/s Atrac3+ quality. I can only imagine how good 320kb/s would sound on the RH-10 so I hope it's possible. Also, hello.! This is my first post. Hope you guys can help.
