ok....tried..... but when I try to download the Euro version it comes back with page not found????? hmmm......just got on, It downloads something after I agree then the indicator thingy keeps spinning and thats it??? heres everything I've tried so far * Uninstall the SonicStage components, ([sonicStage], [OpenMG Limited Patch] and [OpenMG Secure Module]), using the [Add or Remove Programs] utility in the [Control Panel]. * Click on the [start] button and select [Run...]. In the dialog box type explorer and click on [Ok]. * Click on the [Tools] menu and select [Folder Options]. Click on the [View] tab. * In the [Advanced settings:] section select the option to [show hidden files and folders]. Click on [Apply] [Ok]. * Delete the following folders; * C:\Program Files\Sony\SonicStage. * C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\OpenMG. * C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\Sony corporation\SonicStage and/or OpenMG Jukebox. * C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\SonicStage. Depending on previous installation options this folder may not have been created. * Close [Windows Explorer]. * Please note the following steps contain information about editing your registry. Editing the registry improperly can cause damage to the operating system. We would therefore recommended that the registry is backed up prior to making any modifications. If after trying the above you are still experiencing the same problem please can you do the following and advise accordingly; * Click on the [start] button and then click [shutdown]. * Click [Restart], click [Ok] and then press and hold down the [F8] key to bring up the Microsoft Windows Startup Menu. * Choose the option for [safe Mode] and press [Enter]. * When Windows is running in Safe Mode try starting the SonicStage software, please can you let us know whether you receive the same error message. * Restart your computer. * Click on the [start] button and select [search] -> [All files and folders]. * Click on the [Tools] menu and select [Folder Options]. Click on the [View] tab * In the [Advanced settings:] section select the options to [Display the contents of system folders] and [show hidden files and folders]. Remove the ticks from the boxes next to [Hide extensions for known file types] and [Hide protected operating system files] * Click on the [Apply] and [Ok] buttons * In the [All or part of the file name:] dialogue box type mfc71.dll * In the [Look in] dialogue box select [Local hard drives] * Click on the [search] button * Please can you let us know which folders the file [mfc71.dll] is shown as being located in. * Close the [search] window. * Click on the [start] button and select [Run...]. In the dialog box type appwiz.cpl and click on [Ok]. * If there is an option at the top the screen to [show Updates] please ensure that there is a tick in the box. * Please can you give us a list of the software shown in the list of [Currently installed programs and updates]. * Depending on the amount of programs installed you may find it easier to takes screen-prints of this window. To take a screen print; * Press the [Print Scrn] key on your keyboard. * Click on [start] button and select [All programs] -> [Accessories] -> [Paint] * In the [Paint] application, click on the [Edit] menu and select [Paste]. * Click on the [File] menu and select [save As].
