cubist

Ok, so I got a used Sharp 702 about 4 months ago, and it was working fine - it still sort of does. I went to record a show tonight but after 12 seconds "Defect!" comes flashing on the screen, and it ends with "Disc Error". I tried using other discs and the same thing happened. Anyone had similar problems? Any suggestions? Playing other discs is fine, but recording stops after 12 seconds.
