  1. at least input through a standard 1/4" trs jack for the mike would be good enough and you could even use larger mikes. with an adapter, any good mike can be used with the recorder without making it much bigger
  2. hmmm now that i did not know I DO need to see rec levels. i guess rm-mc40elk it is this is why i like it here. long time reader fairly new poster. thanks for the help. since my 2 biggest uses are personal music player and live recording i will need rec levels.
  3. please help me decide between the two and please post why as i read MDCF remote guide but still do not know enough about either to rule the other one out
  4. that is also true. dont get me wrong, i loved the rh10. but you are right. nh1 is a looker in itself. anyone know how does the rm-mc55elk compare to rm-mc40elk? if only sony thought to combine oel and magnesium. the 3rd gen would sell big.
  5. believe it or not, i want the nh1 for its appeal as well as construction.i returned my rh10 because it was such high matainance, that i never took it out of its pouch, which IMO killed the reason for the oled display. why cant they make a magnesium player with oled????. then i would be happy.
  6. its nice to see the format stay. I am returning from a hiatus after enjoying a n510 2 years ago. and am trying to find a good deal on a nh1 now
  7. these are my choices for $208 shipped, I get the unit with everything but remote for $228 shipped, I get the unit with everything, but instead of rm-mc40elk it comes with rm-mc32elk. and a carry case. which should I choose? or should I pass them both up and just keep searching
