    The unit for the NHF800 has AM as well as FM, TV and weather channels (at least here in the USA). The one for the NF520 lacks the AM band. Just scroll thru the bands. As far as other functions, check with the manual. Every function on NHF800 is accessible via the remote including recording. Since the NF520D doesn't record, you should check whether your HNF800's recording functions are accessible by the remote.
