  1. Today I introduce to you Sonicstage 3.3 - the full version, with Simple Burner 2, and a few other bug fixes recognized by the community to deliver the best possible Sonicstage experience. This version of Sonicstage doesn't feature the Connect music store. Throw this on a Hi-MD disc and you can now use Sonicstage anywhere, anytime.

If you are a registered member (free, takes under a minute to complete), you can access this download in our downloads section, directly available here:

I apologize for being dense but I just this afternoon purchased an MZ-RH10 and am looking to install the proper version of the most current software (US). When I go to the link in your message, the date is April so I'm not sure if it's the most current. Your assistance would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    David Robin

  2. hi and welcome to MDCF David,

    to answer your questions:

    - yes

    - and yes, SS is needed for downloading (PC->MD) AND uploading (MD->PC)

    - in theory, if they are bit-by-bit perfectly transferred nothing really

and to further ease your mind:

there were lots of probs with SS, but with SS3.2 and now 3.3 the whole process is more or less safe-n-easy

just remember not to edit on the recorder prior to uploading and make sure you have either one of the two SS versions mentioned (3.2 or 3.3, just check the downloads section) as they allow multiple uploads

Thank you so much for your answers.

  3. Nature sounds are still free to use.

I would say, either the RH910 or the RH10.

If you use it a night, take the RH10.

If you use a Mac for Editing, take the MZ-M100.

Excuse me for butting in but I'd like to ask two questions:

    1) Isn't the RH10 the same as the MZ-M100???

    2) Why the MZ-M100 if using a Mac?

    Thank you,

    David

  4. Hi. I'm about to purchase a Sony mz-rh10 (Hi-MD). I'll be recording with a mic (AT822) and need to get a wav file onto my PC. I hear horror stories about Sonic Stage!

    Questions:

    - Can I just transfer it via the usb cable?

    - Do I need the Sonic Stage software if I'll never transfer files FROM the PC TO the minidisc?

    - What's the difference between a pcm file and a wav file?

    Thanks for your help,

    David
