Ok thank you for your reaction. Here in holland it,s very difficult to get a remote with a LCD screen for the NW A 3000. Its a pitty I could get yhe RM-MC38ELK for 35 euro. Bruut

No, only Atrac and only if the music is ripped from cd to atrac (not on conversions(mp3 to atrac.etc.)) )) Bruut

You can set the clock under Settings, screensaver,available, and then select the clock. Bruut

Under most ideal conditions i get about 20 hour playback. I did a little test. I let the unit (NW-A 3000) play all tracks with a full charged battery (mp3 VBR average birate 160 (Lame, R3MIX)) volume 23 and not move the player, the display on : six time 20 sec and with the harddisk 80 % filled. (about 20 hour playback) In daily use it is a lot shorter (Dit not monitor it yet), but for Sure shorter than 10 hours. If you want getting battery life like Sony's specifications, you must use atrac 48 and not move the player around, no shuffel, no EQ, and no use of the display. About the availability of the sony battery for the NW-A 1000\3000: I found no place where they sell this battery. Bruut

Strange, when i push right with power on screen i get : V CHK A RD A WR When i push up with power on screen i get Others. I Don't Think sony give support on removing the Volume limiter. You know it's only the European models that are volume capped - due to some French legislation... Sorry i can't help you further, i don't understand why it is not working for you to reach others. Hi Hanrik wen you see POWER on Your display, use the Next steps : Display shows : POWER Press UP/DOWN until you get to “OTHERS” Press RIGHT to display next menu. Press UP/DOWN until you get to “SP SET” Press PLAY/PAUSE, “ON/OFF” is displayed. Press OPTION, To select (ON/OFF) Select OFF Press PLAY/PAUSE and it will be entered. Display shows SP SET To check : press play/pause if you see off on the display its oke press again play/pause Display shows SP SET Exit Test mode by pressing and holding BACK for more than a few seconds, Then release the back button, and then the player shuts off.
