  1. I did, but still the same thing. What on Earth is going on?
  2. I do have the same problem as you with the same minidisc unit. Mine gets itself blocked after I take it off the cradle and shows PC>MD whenever I try to press a button. I have to reset it by turning the battery off and on. No one was able to explain to me the cause for this sudden malfunction. It used to work beautifully before. (((
  3. Hello! I will describe my issue here. It is the most annoying thing ever. I have a Sony MZ-N10 which worked perfectly since I bought it. One day though I noticed that the unit is not recognized anymore by the computer. When I placed it in the cradle there was no connection with the computer and on the display of the unit there was no PC>>MD sign. However when I took the unit off the cradle, the PC>>MD appeared and if I tried to press any button such as PLAY, FF or REW it displayed the PC>>MD sign flashing for a few seconds as if it was locked. I order to be able to play anything I have to reset it from the battery ON/OFF switch at the back. I thought it was some kind of software problem so I reinstalled Windows XP Sp2 on my computer and installed SonicStage again. The same problem. The unit is not even recognized by the computer... and after I take it off the cradle, it locks itself on that PC>>MD sign and I have to turn OFF and then back ON. Now I tried to install the latest version of SonicStage... I tried everything. What is this thing that's happening to me? If the unit is not recognized by the computer I can't erase, record minidiscs.... It's useless. And remember that the unit worked for at least a year without problems. Please help me... I feel like crushing the damn thing...
  4. Hey guys, I have the same problem as you do. I own a MZ-N10 minidisc and for the last month I haven't been able to transfer any music via SonicStage. When connected the minidisc doesn't show the PC-MD sign on its display. After I remove it from the cradle it shows PC-MD for one second. I tried to uninstall the software but still the same problem. Can you please give me a hint? I will go as far as reinstalling windows xp for this:) Also after I remove the player from the cradle it shows PC-MD every time I press a button. I cannot operate the unit unless I reset it...using the on-off battery switch. Please note that I have upgraded from the SonicStage version that came with the player to the new Sonic Stage version.
  5. Hi! My internal battery for my Sony MZ-N10 has a problem. I think I need a brand new one but I can't figure where to find one. The model of the battery is Sony LIP-3WMB. There's none on Ebay and none on the net for sale. If anyone can find me such a battery I would be extremely grateful. Now the description of the problem: It seems lately that after I fully charge my MZ-N10 and I also add a fresh brand new AA extra battery, after less than one hour of playing and one day of not using the unit, the battery is out completely. I mean the unit displays "LOW BATT" and that's it although I charged the internal battery for one night and I added the fresh Duracell Rechargeable Accu (AA NiMH). What the hell is going on? Even if the internal battery would be out quick, then shouldn't the external AA battery take over and hold for hours and hours of play time? Another scenario happened to me yesterday. I fully charged the N10 for one night. I took it out in the morning and played 2-3 songs while shopping. I came home, left the unit on a shelf and today when I wanted to play a song there's the sign "LOW BATT". I mean... what the hell is going on? Is the battery drained out or what? Please, any solutions? If the battery is gone, can you please tell me where to buy a replacement? I wasn't able to find any LIP-3WMB on the net. Thanks !
