Hi, After searching for these units on the internet I'm not finding a place to purchase them within the US (I actually have found one or two, but they are always out of stock). I was wondering if there were any recommendations on where to find one of these units? Also I found a Sony MZ-DH710 at BH Photo based out of New York... would this be a comparable HI-MD unit. I'm based out of Seattle and am in the learning stages of HI-MD. Thanks for any help. Kristin

i'm new to the forum and need some help. i am a musician and am looking to purchase a MD to use as a scratch pad for ideas. I saw a friend of mine using an older model and he said that his takes "real time" to download into his computer. After researching them a little, I am still confused as technical things are difficult for me. I just want a decent reasonably priced minidisc that has a line in to connect a microphone to record with and then to upload to my computer at something faster than real-time. I would like to then be able to email the file as a mp3 or wav file to co-writers, etc. Do anyone have any suggestions. I've been through the faq section, but this is all new to me... any help would be great.
