I've used this disk at least three times already. Formatting and recording after each use. Doesn't formatting a disk defrag it? If not, how do you defrag a HI-MD? Please give details on this procedure if possible. Thanks!

While transfering a 3.5 hour interview into my PC my Recorder (RH-10) had a "ACCESS ERROR" message displayed on the LED screen. Seconds later, my pc had the same message and the transfer was aborted. I'm on Sonic Stage 3.4.01 I tried transfering again and the message pop up 4 times on the recorder but not on the pc. This time the transfer went perfectly. Is this a normal issue with HI-MD. I'm new to the format and don't know what to make of this.
